I made the Hipwing to fit somewhere right between the PS-M2 and the Lightning Wing,as a smaller wave high performance shortboard.

The engine room of this board is a very fast, user friendly rocker that not only gains speed easily, but has a loose, snappy drivey feel in all kinds of waves.

The outline is full, with a pronounced hip leading into a wide tailblock which adds to carry the speed but also allows it to break free when you need it to. It has a single concave running all the way through, with a soft double concave between the fins into a vee off the tail to allow for added tail release and rail to rail transition.

This combo gives lift to get the board planing on top of the water easily and helps maintain speed through flatter, weaker sections. If you love riding a Wizards Wand or Slipper but you crave a more high performance feeling, the Hipwing is going to be the board for you.
